Rule 2-3 Venue

Venue means the location where your court case will be heard. Georgia's Business Court has specific rules about where cases can be filed and tried, depending on how the case ends up in that court.

If you file your case directly with the Business Court, the location is set by state law. If your case was moved from a different court, a different part of that same law decides where it will be heard.

All parties in a case can agree on a location together. If everyone agrees, the court will honor that choice. If the parties cannot agree, the trial will be held in whatever county the law says is the right place for that case.
