Rule 5-3 Case Management Conference

The Business Court can choose if and when to hold a Case Management Conference. The court decides how many of these meetings are needed. The judge can hold the meeting in person or through video or phone technology.

At these conferences, the court usually will not hear or decide major motions. If you want a written record of what happens at the meeting, you need to hire a court reporter yourself, unless the judge orders one.

The court can also require the actual parties in the case to show up, not just their lawyers. This means if you are a business owner or company representative, you may need to attend in addition to your attorney.
