If someone is acting as an official or officer, the court can recognize them as one based on what they actually do, not just based on paperwork. You do not need to show a formal certificate or appointment document to prove someone holds an official role.

This matters in cases where a question comes up about whether someone had the authority to act in an official capacity. Their actions on the job can serve as proof of that authority.
