§ 24-6-616 [Crime Victim's Right to Presence]

A crime victim has the right to be in the courtroom during court proceedings related to the crime committed against them. This applies to any court that is handling the case.

There are some exceptions to this right. Code Section 17-17-9 sets out specific situations where a victim might not be allowed to be present, so the right is not absolute in every circumstance.
