Rule 2.4 Assigned Judge.

When you have a case in municipal court, it will be assigned to a specific judge. That judge is called the "assigned judge," and they are responsible for handling your case.

Some municipal courts use a different system where cases are not tied to one judge the whole time. In those courts, whichever judge is handling your case at a given moment is considered the assigned judge for that time.
