Municipal courts keep two separate record books, called dockets. One docket tracks criminal cases, arrests, and search warrants. The other docket tracks everything else, like traffic tickets or civil matters.

This means your case will be recorded in one of these two places depending on what type of case it is. If you need to look up information about your case, knowing which docket it belongs to will help you find it faster.
