Rule 6 Withdrawal of Papers from the Municipal Court

Once you give a document to the municipal court, you cannot take the original back. It stays with the court permanently.

You can get a copy of any document in your case by paying a copying fee to the court clerk. Anyone involved in the case, including their lawyer, can request copies this way.

Court records are open to the public. Anyone can look at them, but there are some limits based on Georgia's Open Records Act, which is the state law that controls public access to government records.
