Rule 7.5 Duty to Attend and Remain.

If you have a case scheduled in municipal court, you must show up when your case is called. You also need to stay in the courtroom until the judge tells you that you can leave.

If you skip out early or do not show up at all, the judge can hold you in contempt of court. Contempt can mean fines or other penalties. The only way to avoid this is if the judge excuses you ahead of time.
