Rule 4.1 Access to court files.

Court files in probate court are open to the public. Anyone can go to the courthouse and look at these records.

There are some exceptions. Certain records can be kept private if a law requires it or if someone follows a specific court process to request that the records be sealed. Outside of those exceptions, the court must make its files available for people to see.
