Rule 6.6 Motions in emergencies.

If something urgent comes up in your case, you can ask the judge to act faster than normal. Usually, court rules require you to wait a certain amount of time before a hearing can happen, but in an emergency, the judge can skip or shorten that waiting period.

To get this faster treatment, you must file a written motion that explains exactly why the situation is an emergency and why it cannot wait. The judge will decide if your reason is good enough to speed things up. This option is available for most types of motions, but not for summary judgment motions.
