Rule 7.3 Depositions upon oral examination.

When someone is questioned under oath outside of court (called a deposition), the questioning can only last one day and no more than seven hours total. This time limit applies unless both sides agree to something different or a judge says otherwise.

If seven hours is not enough time to get through all the questions fairly, the judge can allow more time. Extra time can also be granted if something or someone causes delays or gets in the way during the deposition.
