Rule 2.5 Assigned Judge

When you file a case in superior court, it gets assigned to a specific judge. That judge is called the "assigned judge," and they are responsible for handling your case.

In some court districts, judges share cases through a general scheduling system rather than one judge staying with a case from start to finish. In those places, the "assigned judge" can mean whichever judge is handling your case at that moment in time.
