Rule 3.4 Local Authority

Each courthouse with more than one judge gets to decide how cases are assigned to judges and how the scheduling system works. If the court changes its scheduling system, it can set its own rules for how that change happens.

Whatever system the court uses must be made public so local lawyers know about it. The court has to keep a copy of the rules on file with the court clerk and also send a copy to the Georgia Supreme Court.
