Rule 32.2 Removal from Calendar

Only a judge can take a case off the court's schedule. Lawyers and parties cannot remove or delay a case on their own.

If you need to postpone your court date, you cannot simply skip it or make an arrangement with the other side. You must get a judge to officially approve any change to your scheduled court date.
