Rule 39.4 Lis Pendens Docket

When someone files a lis pendens, it gets recorded in a special log called the Lis Pendens Docket. The court clerk keeps this docket and organizes it by the names of the people involved in the case.

A lis pendens is a formal notice that a piece of property is tied to an ongoing lawsuit. Anyone can look up the docket by name to find out if a property has one of these notices filed against it.
