Rule 44.7 Amendments to the Petition; Discovery

If you filed a petition in superior court, you have 120 days from the filing date to make any changes to it. After that window closes, you cannot go back and update your petition.

If the court allows discovery in your case, that process must also be finished within those same 120 days. Discovery is when both sides gather evidence and information from each other before the case moves forward.
