Rule 44.9 Evidentiary Hearing

After you file a petition, the court has 180 days to hold an evidentiary hearing. That is about six months.

An evidentiary hearing is a formal court proceeding where both sides can present evidence and witnesses. The judge uses this hearing to look at the facts of your case before making a decision.
