§ 1.7 Meetings

The Board only meets when the Chairperson decides to call a meeting. Members don't have to show up in person. They can join by phone or video call instead.

What happens in these meetings stays private. The details of Board meetings and related proceedings are kept confidential. The only exception is if Rule 1 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Hawaiʻi (RSCH) says otherwise. This means people applying to become lawyers, or others involved in Board matters, can expect that discussions about their case won't be made public, unless a specific law says that information has to be shared.
