§ 4.4 Petition for Supreme Court Review

If you apply to become a lawyer in Hawaiʻi and get a decision you disagree with from a hearing officer or panel, you have the right to ask the Hawaiʻi Supreme Court to take a closer look. To do this, you need to file a petition with the Clerk of the court.

You only have 20 days to file this petition. The clock starts running once you are formally served with the findings and recommendation from the hearing officer or panel. If you miss this deadline, you may lose your chance to have the Supreme Court review the decision.
