Rule 7.1 Length of Memoranda

When you file a written argument to support or oppose a motion in district court, there's a limit on how long it can be. Your main memo can't be more than 20 pages, not counting things like affidavits, exhibits, or other attachments. If you're filing a reply memo, it's limited to 10 pages, also not counting those extra materials.

If you need more space, you can ask the court for permission by filing an ex parte motion. You'll need to give the court a good reason why you need extra pages, and the judge will decide whether to allow it.

Any exhibits you attach need labeled tabs so they're easy to find and reference. Also, if your memo runs longer than 15 pages, you need to include a table of contents and a table of authorities (a list of the cases, statutes, or rules you cited) at the beginning, so the reader can quickly find what they're looking for.
