Rule 100.12 Judicial Hearings

When a judge reviews a case that went through a mediator or hearing officer, they look at the recommended order and decide whether to approve it. If someone disagrees with the recommendation, they can raise that disagreement at a judicial hearing. The judge then listens to the contested issues and makes a final decision.

Once the judge makes a decision, an official court order is created. The parties involved in the case will be given a copy of that order. This order is legally binding, meaning everyone named in it must follow what it says.
