Rule 1.1108 Jury trial

If you have a right to a jury trial, the rules about consolidating or separating cases don't take that right away. And if you don't already have a right to a jury trial, those same rules can't create one for you.

In simple terms, courts sometimes combine multiple lawsuits into one case, or split one case into separate parts, to make things run more smoothly. This rule makes sure that doesn't change anyone's right to have a jury decide their case. Whatever rights you had before still apply, no more and no less.
