Rule 16.503 Public access terminals

Every county courthouse in Iowa, along with the Judicial Branch Building, must have at least one computer available for the public to use. This computer, called a public access terminal, lets people look up court records and case information without needing their own device or internet access.

This rule makes sure that everyone can get to court records, even if they don't own a computer or can't afford internet service at home. If you need to check on a case or look up court documents, you can go to your local courthouse and use one of these terminals for free.
