Rule 16.707 Written plea agreements

When someone works out a plea deal, that agreement can be shown to the court electronically before the plea hearing happens. There's no need to file it with the court ahead of time.

If the judge accepts the plea, the agreement then gets officially filed as part of the court record at that point. So the filing only becomes final once the plea itself is accepted.
