If a transcript is made from an approved electronic recording and it gets certified, it counts the same as a transcript typed up by an official court reporter. Courts, lawyers, and anyone else using that transcript must treat it as fully valid and official, no different from the traditional kind.

This matters because more courts now record hearings electronically instead of having a live court reporter typing everything in real time. This rule makes sure that switching to electronic recording does not weaken the transcript's legal standing. As long as the recording is approved and the transcript is properly certified, it can be used in appeals, court filings, or any other situation where a transcript is needed.
