Transcripts made from electronic recordings follow the same rules as transcripts prepared by official court reporters. This means the same standards apply for how these transcripts are ordered, prepared, and delivered to the people who need them.

The only difference is who oversees the process. Instead of an official court reporter handling the recording directly, the clerk of the district court manages the electronic recording that the transcript comes from. Even with this difference, anyone ordering a transcript from an electronic recording can expect the same process and quality standards that apply to transcripts made by court reporters.
