XX, Sec. 5 Admission into a family recovery court program

If a parent or family member is offered a spot in a family recovery court program and they accept it, the judge handling their case needs to send their information to the Family Recovery Court (FRC) Team. This step officially starts the admission process into the program.

After that, the case stays with, or gets moved to, a judge who actually runs the family recovery court program in that same circuit or district. This means the person's case will be handled by a judge who is set up to oversee recovery court cases, and it stays connected to wherever the original dependency, neglect, or abuse case was filed.
