9.05 Judgment

When you're writing a legal document that mentions a court judgment or an official decision, you don't have to prove the court or officer had the authority to make that ruling. You can simply state that the judgment or decision happened.

This makes things easier for anyone filing paperwork. Instead of digging up detailed proof that a court had the legal power to issue its ruling, you just need to mention the judgment or decision itself. If someone wants to challenge whether the court actually had proper authority, that becomes a separate issue they need to raise on their own.

This rule applies whether the judgment came from a court in Kentucky, another state, or even another country. It also covers decisions made by boards or government officers, not just judges. The main point is to save time and paperwork by letting people reference official rulings without extra proof upfront.
