7.000 Definitions

This rule tells you where to find the definitions of key terms used in Part VII of Kentucky's court rules. Instead of repeating those definitions, Part VII just borrows them from Rule 3.010, which is a different section of the rules.

There is one exception. The word "Court" is defined differently and does not follow the Rule 3.010 definition when used in Part VII.

The note at the end just explains some history. It tells you that these rules used to have different names and numbers before 1978. This is background information and does not affect how the rule works today.
