This rule no longer exists. Louisiana lawmakers removed it from the Children's Code back in 1995, and the repeal took effect on January 1, 1996.

Since this rule was taken off the books, it has no legal effect today. If you're looking at older documents or cases that mention this rule, keep in mind it was in place before 1996 but doesn't apply now. For current legal questions, you'll need to look at whatever rules replaced it or check the present version of the Children's Code.
