Art. 1449 Notice of court action

When a court makes a decision in a case involving a young person, everyone involved needs to be told about it. This includes the minor (the young person in the case), their lawyer, and the head of the treatment facility where the minor is staying.

The court gets to decide how to share this information. There's no single required method, like a phone call or certified letter. Instead, the judge picks whatever way makes the most sense given the situation. The main point is that all three parties, the minor, their attorney, and the facility director, must actually find out what the court decided.
