Art. 427 Clerks; duties; authority

Clerks who work for juvenile or children's courts have to do their regular job duties, just like clerks in any other court. On top of that, they also have to handle any extra tasks that this specific set of laws (the Children's Code) tells them to do.

These clerks also keep whatever powers and authority the law already gives them. In other words, this rule doesn't take anything away from clerks or limit what they can do. It simply confirms that clerks keep their normal legal powers while also picking up the added responsibilities that come with children's court cases.

For someone involved in a juvenile court case, this means the clerk's office is responsible for handling paperwork, records, and other administrative tasks tied to your case, following both general court rules and the special rules that apply to children's cases.
