Art. 1115 Defenses of original defendant available to third party defendant

If someone gets pulled into a lawsuit as a "third party defendant" (basically added into the case by the original defendant), they get to use the same defenses that the original defendant could use against the person who filed the lawsuit.

This means the third party defendant is not stuck defending themselves with limited options. They can argue anything the original defendant could have argued to fight off the plaintiff's claims.
