Art. 1912 Final judgment

A judge doesn't have to be sitting in the courthouse to sign a final judgment. The judge can sign it from wherever they happen to be, whether that's their office, home, or somewhere else. Once signed, the judgment gets sent to the clerk's office where the case was filed.

This rule exists so cases don't get held up just because a judge is traveling or working outside the courthouse. It makes sure that people involved in a lawsuit still get their final judgment on time, no matter where the judge physically signs it. The important thing is that the signed judgment reaches the right clerk's office so it becomes part of the official case record.
