Art. 4102 Procedure for inventory; proces verbal; return

When someone needs to take an inventory of property in a court case, the process follows the same steps laid out in Articles 3131 through 3134. This means the same rules that normally apply to inventories, the written record of the inventory (called a proces verbal), and how that record gets filed and used, also apply here.

In simple terms, this rule doesn't create new steps. It just points to existing rules and says to use them for this type of case. The proces verbal is basically an official written report showing exactly what property was found and listed during the inventory process. Once it's completed and filed with the court, it carries legal weight and can be used as evidence of what property existed and its condition at the time.
