Art. 688 Partnership

If you're part of a partnership and need to file a lawsuit, the partnership itself can sue under its own business name. You don't have to list out every individual partner as a separate party in the case.

To act in court, the partnership needs a partner who has the authority to represent it. This means one of the partners can step in and handle the legal matter on behalf of the whole business, as long as that partner has the proper authority to do so. This makes it easier for partnerships to protect their rights and deal with legal issues without needing every single partner to be personally involved in the court case.
