Art. 85 Action against domestic corporation; charter revoked by secretary of state

If a Louisiana corporation loses its charter because the Secretary of State officially revoked it, you can still sue that company. This can happen when a business fails to file required paperwork or pay certain fees, causing the state to shut down its legal status.

Even though the company no longer legally exists as an active corporation, you don't have to figure out a new place to file your lawsuit.
