XX Rule XX

This rule lets law students take part in real court cases before they become licensed lawyers. Students who meet certain requirements, like completing enough law school classes and getting approval from their school, can help with trials and other legal work.

A licensed attorney must supervise the student at all times. The student cannot act alone. Someone with a law license has to watch over the work, sign off on documents, and take responsibility for what happens in court.

This setup helps law students get hands-on training before they graduate and pass the bar exam. It also helps people who need legal help, especially those who cannot afford a private lawyer, since many of these programs work through legal aid clinics or public defender offices. The rule sets limits on what students can do so that clients still get proper legal representation, even though a student is doing some of the work.
