This rule lets the Louisiana Supreme Court pick someone to serve as the judicial administrator. This person helps manage the daily operations and administrative work of the court system. The court also decides how much this person gets paid.

The money for this salary comes from funds the state legislature gives to the supreme court. So the court has control over both who fills this role and how they are compensated, using its own budget from the state.
