Rule 3.810 Transcripts for Purposes of Appeal

If a parent loses their parental rights in court and wants to appeal, they have the right to get a transcript of the court proceedings. A transcript is a written record of everything that was said in court.

If the parent cannot afford to pay for the transcript, the court must order it to be made at no cost to them. The parent just needs to show the court that they do not have the money to pay for it.
