Rule 3.811 Use of Videoconferencing Technology

Michigan courts can let people join certain court proceedings by video instead of showing up in person. This applies to specific types of cases covered under this section of the rules.

The court follows the general videoconferencing rules found in MCR 2.407, which set out how video appearances work. If you are involved in one of these cases, you may be able to ask the court about joining by video rather than traveling to the courthouse.
