Rule 5.731 Access to Records

Mental health cases filed in Michigan courts are open to the public by default. Anyone can look at these records unless a specific law or court rule says otherwise.

If you are involved in a mental health case, your court records may be viewable by others. To keep records private, there would need to be a specific legal reason that allows them to be sealed or restricted.
