Rule 9.242 Extension of Time

If you need more time to complete certain steps in a case before the commission, you can ask for an extension. The commission or its chairperson can grant extra time for things like filing an answer, starting a hearing, filing a neutral's report, or objecting to a neutral's report.

You must have a good reason to get the extra time. Each extension can only add up to 28 days, so you will not get an unlimited amount of extra time just by asking.
