Rule 1.01 Designation of Rule Name and Proper Citation

This rule explains what to call the rules and how to reference them. The rules are officially named the Uniform Civil Rules of Circuit and County Court, and if you see them cited, they'll use the short form "UCRCCC" followed by a number.

The rule also clears up a wording question. Whenever these rules use the word "court," it means both circuit court and county court together, unless a specific rule says otherwise. This matters because circuit courts and county courts handle different types of cases, and this rule makes sure the same set of procedures applies to both unless there's a clear exception stated somewhere.
