Rule 1.02 Court Decorum

Judges and court staff are expected to keep courtrooms formal and respectful. When court is in session, the judge must wear a judicial robe. The only exception is when the courtroom setup makes wearing a robe impractical, in which case it becomes optional.

Everyone who works for the court, including lawyers, clerks, and other officers, has a duty to help keep respect for the court alive. This means acting professionally and helping maintain the seriousness of the courtroom setting. The goal is to make sure court proceedings feel official and are treated with the seriousness they deserve, no matter who is involved in the case.
