Rule 1.5 Information on Each Pleading and Motion

When someone files paperwork with the court, like a motion or other legal document, that paperwork has to include certain contact information. This rule spells out exactly what needs to be on it.

If a lawyer is filing the document, the paperwork must list the name, address, bar number, email, and phone number of the attorney who will actually try the case in court. If a different attorney will be the one arguing that specific motion, their contact information needs to be included too.

If someone is representing themselves without a lawyer (called filing "pro se"), they need to include their own name, address, email, and phone number on the paperwork instead.

The point of this rule is to make sure the court and everyone else involved in the case always knows who to contact about any document that gets filed. It keeps the case moving smoothly and avoids confusion about who is handling what.
