Rule 1.6 Size of Paper

When you file papers in a criminal case in Mississippi, they need to be on standard size paper, 8½ by 11 inches. This is the same size as regular printer paper, so most documents will already meet this requirement without any extra work.

If you need to attach an exhibit or other document that's a different size, you can fold it and attach it to a regular size page. This lets you include things like maps, photos, or other records that don't naturally fit the standard paper size.

If an exhibit truly can't be resized or folded to fit, you can still file it as is. But this is only allowed when following the normal paper size rule just isn't realistic given what the document is.
