Rule 30.2 Bond

If you're convicted in county court and want to appeal that conviction to circuit court, you have the right to be released while your appeal is pending. The rules for this release follow Rule 8.3, which lays out the general standards for bond and conditions of release.

You also get credit for any time you've already spent in custody on this charge. This means if you were held in jail before or during your case, that time counts toward whatever sentence you might eventually have to serve. You won't lose credit for that time just because you're appealing.
