Rule 11.04 Court Held with Regular Judge or Separately

When a judge is assigned to help out in a county (either through a court transfer order or because the regular judge asked for help), that visiting judge has flexibility in how they work. They can hold court sessions at the same time as the regular judge, working side by side in the same county. Or they can hold their own separate court sessions in that same county, independent from the regular judge.

This rule basically gives visiting judges room to organize their work in whatever way makes the most sense. If a court needs extra help handling cases, this setup lets both judges work at once, either together or on separate cases, so things move faster and cases don't pile up waiting for one judge to handle everything alone.
