Plain-English Summary (for reference only — not a substitute for the rule text above)
This summary is not the rule. The rule text controls.
When someone appeals a felony case, both sides have to file written arguments called briefs. This rule says that a copy of these briefs must be sent to the Missouri Attorney General's office. The process for sending these copies follows the same steps laid out in Rule 84.026, which covers how briefs are shared in civil appeals.
This matters because the Attorney General's office represents the state in criminal appeals. Making sure they get a copy of every brief keeps them informed about what arguments are being made in the case, so they can respond properly and represent the state's interests in court.
